Sunderland - Manchester City

Sunderland welcome Man City today. Sunderland draw their last game against Everton (1-1) and has only lost one game since O'Neil took Sunderland's hot seat but there are still some defence problems. Their home form is (2-4-3). Marcos Angeleri, Fraizer Cambell, Craig Gordon and Michael Turner will miss the match while Connor Wichham and Kieran Richardson are both doubtful.

Manchester City didn't manage to win their last game against West Brom (0-0) but now have the chance to be again alone in the top after Man U defeat against Blakburn. Man City's away form is (5-3-1) and have scored 25 goals. They have the league's best attack with 53 goals this season. Roberto Mancini doesn't have any injuries and all players will be available for him but is going to make some changes to fresh his team.

Important Notes :

Sunderland didn't manage to keep a clean sheet in their last 6 games.
David Silva has the most assists in the league (8)
Manchester City has only one defeat in their last 12 games against Sunderland.

Pick : I expect Manchester City to take advantage of the Sunderland's defence problems and  Manchester United yesterday's defeat and win the match. Manchester City Win

Happy New Year 2012

I wish everyone a happy new year with health and love. Just be optimistic and everything will be fine.

Nba On Saturday

One Nba match for today:

The Los Angeles Lakers look to end the year on a high when they play host to the visit Denver Nuggets tonight.
The Lakers seemed to have shaken off their early season rust and are coming into this matchup on the back of two consecutive wins. Most recently, LA were able to defeat the New York Knicks by 99-82 with Kobe Bryant scoring an efficient 28 points on 10 of 17 shooting and Pau Gasol adding 16 points and 10 rebounds of his own. The Lakers' offense seemed on song, but it was actually their team defense that won the game for them, as they were able to hold the Knicks to just 31.3 percent from the field.
With Andrew Bynum absent for the first four games of the season, Metta World Peace and Steve Blake have had an increase in minutes off the bench and they have certainly made the most of it, showing that they perform better when not restricted to the system of Phil Jackson's famous triangle offense. The news gets even better for the Lakers as Bynum has finally served his four-game suspension and will be available to play against the Nuggets tonight.
On the other hand, the Nuggets are coming off their first loss of the season, a 111-102 loss to the Portland Trailblazers as Ty Lawson's big game of 25 points and career-best eight steals was in vain with the rest of the Nuggets team shooting just 35.2 percent from the field. Poor permiter shooting was the biggest disappointment of the night for the Nuggets as they converted on just four of 20 attempts from the three point line. On the bright side, as bad as the Nuggets were playing, they were always within an earshot of winning as Ty Lawson continued to build upon his great start to the season of 22.3 points per game on 61.9 shooting.
Head to head, the Nuggets are 5-1-1 ATS in the last seven meetings between these teams while the Under is 5-1 in the last six meetings at the Staples Center.
Denver has been quite impressive this season, with their only loss coming against a much-improved Portland outfit so I wouldn't read too much into that loss except for the fact that Lawson is going to have his way with LA's Derek Fisher. Despite Lawson's recent efficiency, I am still going to favour the Lakers who have finally woken up and will be buoyed by the return of Bynum to their lineup.
Pick: LA Lakers

Saturday Premier League Matches Preview and Prediction

Two Premier League matches for today:

Swansea - Tottenham (Premier League)

Swansea wanted the 3 points against QPR in their last game but they'll probably be happy with the 1 they got. They are 14th with 19 points in 18 games and 5 points from the relegation places. Swansea's home form is (4-4-1) and Man U was the only team that took the 3 points from the Liberty stadium. On loan center back Caulker is ineligible to play against his parent club. Also Neil Taylor and Angel Rangel are missing.
Tottenham won their last game against Norwich. Bale was great and scoring 2 goals for his team.Tottenham is in the 3rd place 7 points behind the Manchester's teams and one game less. Their away form is (6-1-2) and is the leagues 2nd best record behind Manchester U. Dawson, Lenon, Huddlestone and Jenas while Defoe and
King is doubtful.
Pick: I believe Tottenham will win this match and continue the title race.

Stoke - Wigan (Premier League)

Stoke didn't manage to win Aston Villa in their last game (0-0). Stoke is in the 8th place this season with 25 points in 18 games.Their home form is (4-3-2). Crouch and Whelan are doubtful while Sidibe is missing for sure.
Wigan lost their last game against Man U (5-0). Wigan's away record is (2-1-6) and they conceded 19 goals scoring only 6. Kirkland, Sammon and Boyce are missing
Pick : Stoke have to win this games and i think they'll do. So we go for the home win.

Nba For Friday

1 NBA game for today:

New Jersey Nets - Atlanta Hawks (Nba)

Atlanta hawks dominated New Jersey a few days ago (106-70). They started the season with 2/2 wins and with their team spirit and the solid defence they want to do something good this season. Against Nets they count 7/9 wins and 5/5 in their home.
Nets won Wizards in their first game but lost the two next very easy.Their center Lopez broke his foot and will be out for one month. Also Deron Williams didn't start the season very good.
Pick: Hawks are great until now and in home thay doing even better. Nets doesn't seem to improve and Lopez absent is key for his team. I believe Atlanta will cover the -11.5 points and will win the game.

Nba today

As there are no great football games today i am going to pick an Nba basketball game.

Mavericks - Thunder (Nba)

Last year's champions have 2 straight loss this year and they look like they can't defend the title. The team chemistry that helped Mavs last season to win the title is absent this year. They lose their 2 last games by an averange of 16.5 points.
Thunder on the other hand started the season great and they run a 3-0 on the first matches.Their team star Kevin Durant is averanging 31.7 points, 6.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists this season and it looks that is going to be another  great season for him.
pick: Thunder -6.5

Wednesday football picks

I have only one match for today.

Ofi Crete- Levadeiakos (Greek Superleague)

Ofi welcome Levadeiakos today and both teams need the 3 points for different reasons.Ofi draw their last game against Kerkyra (0-0) and once again they had scoring problems. Their home form is (3-2-1) and they have the second best home defence in the league with only 3 goals conceded and scored 8 times.
Levadeiakos come from two straight losses 1 in the Greek Cup where they lost in penalties against Thrasyvoulos (0-0) and 1 for the league against Ergotelis (0-1). Their away form is (0-2-1).
I expect a close game and not many goals if none so our pick will be under 2.5 goals (1.65)

Tuesday football picks

Two matches for today :

Norwich - Tottenham (Premier League)

Norwich welcome Tottenham to Carrow Road today. Norwich is placed 11th in the PL and their home form is (4-2-2).They draw their last 2 games against Everton and Wolves. Ritchie De Laet, on loan from Manchester United, is doubtful for the match with a back injury while James Vaughan (knee), Elliott Ward (knee) are definitely ruled out and Kyle Naughton is ineligible as he cannot play against his parent club.
Tottenham is going great this season sitting 3rd in the PL with 35 points and 2 matches less than the other teams. Their Away form is (5-1-2).  Harry Redknapp will also have to cope without a few first-team players. Michael Dawson is out until the end of the month with an Achilles injury, while Aaron Lennon won’t be back due to a hamstring tear and Tom Huddlestone (ankle) is also still a week away from fitness.
Spurs also have a number of players doubtful as Ledley King (knee), Younes Kaboul (hamstring) and Jermain Defoe (hamstring) will have to wait for fitness tests to determine whether they are match-ready.
I expect Tottenham to get the 3 points today and close the gap on Man United and Man City so we go for the away win (1.80)

Sheffield United - Notts County (League One)

Sheffield United come from 4 straight wins in the league without concede a goal. They beat Bornmouth in their last game  (0-2).Their home form is (7-2-2) and they have the best home attack in the league with 24 goals in 11 games. Sheffield United will be without suspended midfielder Lee Williamson, whilst Kevin McDonald (knee) and Nick Montgomery (chest infection) are rated as doubtful.
Notts County have only 1 win in their last 8 games (1-3-4) and two straight losses. They lost their last game against Layton Orient (1-2). Their away form is (3-2-6). In their last 4 exits they don't have a win and conceded 9 goals. Gavin Mahon has been ruled out with a hamstring injury, whilst Krystian Pearce is very doubtful with a groin issue.
Stephen Hunt (ankle) and Jude Stirling (knee) remain out, with Rob Burch on his way back from a knee injury.Ben Burgess is on leave from the club at present, following the birth of his son.I expect a home win (1.80) here following Sheffield's United form.

Back in action again

Christmas is gone and football starts again. For today i have 2 matches.

Stoke - Aston Villa (Premier League)

I expect Stoke to win Aston Villa today. Stoke lost their last game against Man City and  this defeat ended the winning streak of four matches.Their home form this season is (4-2-2) and their home form against Aston Villa is (2-1-0) the last 3 years.Crouch is going to be in the starting line today and also Shawcross and Etherington is ready for the game.
Aston Villa defence this year have lot of problems this year and their away form is (1-5-2). They lost their two last games against Liverpool and Arsenal. Hutton is missing todays while Bent,Heskey and Ireland are doubtful. We go for the home win (2.10) in this match

Birmingham - West Ham (Championship)

Two of the champioship's promotion contenters will play today. Birmingham have 3 straight losts. Their home form is very good (6-3-0) which 6/9 of the matches ended under 2.5.Beausejour and Davies are missing while Ridgewell is ready to play.
West Ham won their last game against Burnley after two straight losses.Their away for is       (7-2-2) and is the best in the league.West Ham have a lot of players missing today. Reid,Baldock,Collison,Bentley and Teylor are missing.
I expect a close game with not many chances for goal so we go for under 2.5 (1.75)
